Junior award ceremony and Joe's MMA fight

Hi everyone its been another busy weekend, on Saturday morning the juniors had their awards ceremony which saw everyone show off the skills they have learnt in fitness, grappling, wrestling and striking.
It was a great turn out with 12 students attending inducing Mikey and Zak who helped out on the day.
We will hopefully be organizing an in house tournament for juniors aged 8-17 in January or February so keep up the hard work in training.


Joe Middleton represented the 1G fight team in MMA at the gym xtreme fight night in Worthing on Saturday night. He weighed in at 74kg and was matched to fight Leo Tyson. It looked like a good match for Joe as Leo is 6,5 and fighting a taller opponent always makes for some good takedowns.
Joe fought three 2 minute rounds and quickly displayed some great double and single leg takedowns in each round, he showed good base in side control and was able to step over in to mount to control his opponent for the duration of the round.
