UCMMA Contenders Results

Congratulations to all the First Generation MMA team that competed on Sunday at UCMMA Contenders in Brighton, with everyone winning they're fights by submission, TKO or unanimous decision.

First to fight was Dean Midhatt who started off strong with a big take down and quickly finished the fight in the first round with a choke.

Next was Lennie Scudder fighting Steve McDonald, after a strong first round Lennie quickly got to mount position and ended the fight via ground and pound resulting in a TKO.

Hovo Tadevosyan fought a furious K1 fight which showed his superior technical ability that had the crowd wincing with every big kick, resulting in a win by unanimous decision.

Liam Etebar faced off against Curtis Friend, this was another quick victory with Liam sweeping his opponent from the gaurd position to mount and laying on the ground and pound resulting in the ref stopping the fight in the first round.

Last up was Tolly Plestead who was fighting for a step up belt. Tolly quickly got his signature take down and his superior ground game resulted in the ref stopping the fight in the first round.
Tolly had this to say about his victory
"SO proud of my students & team mates tonight 5 fights , 5 wins for First Generation fight team... Props to my opponent who stepped up last min, Massive thank you to my masters ze marcello & alexandre izidro who taught me there great and wonderful art of ju jitsu. Osss.. Massive big ups to sol and the rest of my ZT homies who always have my back.. Ryan,kenny,sam, laura, little ryan,aftab and now my wrestling coach dani too! Oli thompson and Dave lee who are always there for me, so thanks, could t do it with you two in my corner! All the wolfslairs guys who helped me train and made me feel so welcome and at home, Amazing team, Tom, leeroy,aaron, barry,davey,kurt and rest of the boys... My beautiful ellie for putting up with me, Pauly pops who s always belived in me since day one, so much love.. My sponsors big dogz fight wear,alpha health & fitness and acrade. So there you have it guys hard work and dedication always pays off! First Generation Fight team are on a roll and looking forward to the next SFC on December 9th in Atlantis!
